After a little victory lap on the beach in Miami, I finally landed in New Orleans after a smooth flight.
Quickly took a taxi to the hotel and dove right into the hustle and bustle of NOLA.
I'm just one block away from the French Quarter. And this neighborhood really has it all.
There are bands or individual musicians playing on the streets, music is blaring from everywhere, and people are celebrating to the max.
Between the bars, there are some obscure voodoo shops, fortune tellers, and the air is filled with excitement. Joints almost on every corner.
Truly a unique atmosphere, and all just a stone's throw away from the mighty Mississippi River.
I'm just letting myself wander through this French Quarter until late at night. Truly an experience. Going from bar to bar, everywhere there's great music, good beer, and everything else your heart desires if needed.
However, one needs to be cautious, there are plenty of shady characters roaming around.
And the dollars fly easily...
The taxi driver had warned me, telling me to only bring a credit card!?!
Tomorrow, I'm going on a little Mississippi tour on a paddle steamer.
As for the current occasion: MERRY CHRISTMAS
stay tuned
Jeff
