Today was an exceptionally beautiful day. I would almost say it was the most beautiful day. First of all, the weather was very nice and then Karin invited me to dinner in a beautiful restaurant in the old harbor. So I didn't have to cook. Flo was on duty today, Leif was once again at a friend's house, and Antonia had to go to some art class. So at 5 p.m. I walked into town and met Karin there. We did some shopping and then had a fantastic meal at the Troll Restaurant. I had a wonderful fish soup. Afterwards, we went to the Trondheim Stage. We found a nice spot on a lawn. Later, Flo, Leif, and Antonia joined us. They brought red wine and popcorn. Antonia immediately said to her mother, "You do know that it's forbidden to drink alcohol in public, right?" But Flo had brought the red wine in a thermos flask. I have to say it was a really nice evening. We couldn't see much, but we could hear Sting's performance. I always admire those children who stay up until 11 p.m. and then ride their bikes to school again at 7:30 a.m. Although there is nothing going on at school right now. They already have their vacation starting on Friday. You can already tell in the city that the holidays are coming. Everything is marked down in the stores. Karin told me today that Trondheim will be completely empty then. Only the tourists will still be here. I wonder how it will be next month. My family will be gone too.
Since I didn't have to cook today, I'll make my risotto tomorrow. If the kids are here, they'll get semolina pudding. It's clear that they don't like risotto.
