On my way to the lake district I passed some different places. First I had to cycle along the road but it changed several times: dirt road, gravel path, busy road, overgrown cycle path, quite road, path along a canal,... Also the weather changed all the time. When it rained I often had a tea or coffee inside like in Scorton. I passed Lancaster and Carnforth and found a great sleeping spot at the coast in Silverdale. Except of the wind it was very quiet walking along the beach in the evening.
The next day I had some more coffee because there was more rain ;-). But I can tell now that Arnside and Kendale have very cute cafés with delicious homemade cake. After I left all this peaceful places behind, I arrived at Lake Windermere in the Lake District. It was full of tourists and I got the last bit of lawn on the campsite. Fortunately the sun came out to pitch my tent and to have a little hike to some really nice viewpoints.
