Amsterdam... those who know the city, know the impressions it gives. Those who don't know the city, go there in peace. The first day I spent alone and enjoyed strolling through the city and its streets. Later I was allowed to pick up Spastgal at the airport as agreed. The stupid thing was that everything here closes at 24:00... so we had to take an Uber back to the city-owned campsite. Because the Beckenrieder ferries for free had already stopped service and our internal clock babbled something about 03:00.
The next morning was crazy musician surprise day in Amsterdam and I received a harmonica as a souvenir😁 now I actually feel like a tramp.
The following days got crazier and the kilometers on foot got longer until we came across an H&M. I was only interested in one thing... Is there an escalator? ✅
No matter where in the city but to sit down and enjoy "eifach gmiätlich". Spastgal was so fascinated by the red light district and the women behind the windows that we spent hours watching the scene.
As a break for our eyes, we also treated ourselves to a visit to a mill in Zaanse Schans.
The Greta T., we try to be like her... and travel hours by train to Rotterdam. Because camping in Amsterdam is already fun and a perfect starting point for day trips.
Now it's Sunday, September 1st, and I'm waiting for Spastgal so we can leave the campsite. It seems to me that she accompanies me on my journey to some extent. She doesn't have exact plans, except for a date in Haarlem first🤷♂️ The best part is that there is a kite spot nearby... maybe the wind is just right.
We'll see how things go with Planer, it was acting up on the journey to Amsterdam... it only wanted to drive on 3 cylinders but I didn't care at my traveling speed🙋♂️
