Lüderitz

From Klein-Aus we traveled to Lüderitz. We stayed here for 2 nights at the hotel. Among other things, we took a boat trip to see the penguins. After that, we went to Kolmanskuppe, a former diamond city that was founded by Germans in 1908 right in the desert. At one time, 300 Germans lived here with all the amenities. Bowling alley, gym, ice factory, hospital, etc. An old past is still visible. Diamond mining was stopped in 1930. Now the desert is reclaiming its territory.
