Car purchase: The day started out very relaxed. We finished our work and immediately took the train to Sydney. We searched for the sellers, talked to them, and looked at the car. Unfortunately, we didn't think that workshops are closed on Saturdays. After we finished looking, we went to a pub and had some food and drinks. Then we had a nice day in Sydney. As it got later in the evening, we had to decide whether to take the car or not. Despite not having an inspection by a mechanic, our instinct told us to take the car. We called them and drove to the first seller. They gave us the key and we were supposed to drive to the other seller, who worked in a restaurant in downtown Sydney. It was midnight and yet the four-lane roads were completely congested. When we arrived exhausted at the restaurant, we quickly gave the seller the last bit of money and then drove home. Just on the highway, we were greeted by a huge army of police officers. They conducted an alcohol test and a routine check. Everything went well.
Our bosses told us that our predecessors would visit the hostel for 4 days in the following days. We quickly made friends with them and did something fun every day. The surrounding fauna is very beautiful, so we go on trips more often. For example, to the Bouddi National Park. There we met a German family in the middle of the forest.
On my birthday, Tanja surprised me with gifts and delicious food for breakfast. Then our bosses invited us to a Bavarian restaurant for dinner.
When we were shopping at Aldi again, we saw that there was an Oktoberfest special. We bought white sausages, potatoes, pretzels, sauerkraut, and sweet mustard. Tanja prepared everything. For dessert, we had apple strudel. Our bosses were very happy and everything tasted excellent.
At the moment, we are still hoping for better weather. Today we went swimming again, with waves as big as me.
I hope you are all doing well. Best regards, Tanja and Lars :)
Soon we will travel a bit, then there will be other beaches, etc. to see.
