On Tuesday, we drove to Sequoia National Park. Due to road construction, cars were only allowed through every 2 hours and we had to wait 1 hour for the next opening. But then we finally continued and saw the first giant sequoias along the road. Our first destination was the General Sherman Tree, the largest tree in the world by volume. And it's simply magnificent. But the others are too, it's incredible how gigantic they are.
Next destination was the General Grant Tree, the second largest living tree on Earth. There was a fallen tree that you could walk through its entire length. You could even live in there.
After that, we drove all the way back to Barstow.
