The accommodation was great: outside the tiny village of Keld, and we were the only guests of the lovely hosts. There was a delicious multi-course breakfast. We chatted with the hosts and ended up leaving later than usual. This was not good for our energy level, and the slightly humid weather also took its toll. Fortunately, the route was relatively easy: more or less along the River Swale over sheep pastures (soft, pleasant) and small roads (hard and rather unpleasant) all the way to Reeth. Here we found ourselves in a typical pub situation. After the usual afternoon routine (showering, taking care of our feet, emptying our backpacks, usually washing and blow-drying laundry, and checking tomorrow's route over a cup of tea), and a little nap, we are now ready for dinner.
