So fast it can happen.

11/10/2018:

In the morning, I actually received the promised breakfast, even though I doubted it would be served. If yesterday the check-in went like that. However, as I waited for breakfast, a rat climbed out of the kitchen window. Well then, enjoy your meal!

Then on the scooter to another hostel. No air conditioning, even though it was stated in the description. The stained pillowcase was reluctantly exchanged. The stained one was simply folded. Probably for the next guest.

Extended scooter rental and haggled a bit. At least saved a little. Today I was able to get the kayak for about 17% cheaper. Just bargain :). Then it was back on the lake. Actually, today it was said that this path to the lake was forbidden because it was too dangerous to drive there. Strangely enough, I'm still alive.

Afterwards, I went back to the Old Town of Lanta. It started to rain harder, I braked a little harder than usual and immediately the scooter slid to the side. I slid a little on the road. Result: a piece missing from the left palm, elbow scraped up, and a few bruises on the knee and foot. Totally unnecessary.

The culprit was quickly found. The tire tread was less than half a centimeter. Of course, that's where you slide. The irony was that just a second before, I thought I was so lucky that nothing worse had happened to me so far. Some people have broken limbs in a scooter accident in Thailand.

Back to the hostel and then buying something in the Old Town didn't make sense anymore. So I drove bleeding into town. But then immediately into the hostel and treated myself. I didn't want to know anything for the rest of the evening. I was angry that such a scooter is rented out.
