Since our hotel was centrally located in Nuremberg, we went for a short city tour after checking out. However, it was quite exhausting due to the intense heat - and Martin was occasionally annoyed because I got lost in the streets several times. So we strolled to the Kaiserburg and also visited St. Jakob's Church on the way. In the park near the Kaiserburg, we took a break and enjoyed the view of the city. Then we made our way back and visited 3 more churches: St. Sebaldus, the Frauenkirche, and St. Lorenz Church, with the latter being our favorite. There was a statue of Madonna with a smiling face and a baby playing with its feet, which Henriette liked the most. A lady in the church gave Henriette a bookmark and told us a bit about the church and, for example, a stained-glass window that was made according to Dürer's drawing and depicted Saint Lorenz.
At around 4:30 pm, we started our journey back home and were glad that we arrived home around 8 pm despite a short traffic jam.
