Hello everyone,
To continue from yesterday evening, here are some impressions of Las Vegas at night (there are also some in the gallery):
This morning we started our day at the Hoover Dam, which is only about 50km away from Las Vegas. I didn't have the special 'wow effect' at this place, but it was still interesting to see this gigantic structure. The main purpose of the Hoover Dam is the controlled release of water in Arizona, Nevada, and California. It is also a power plant that generates electricity.
Today we arrived in our 3rd state, Utah. Before, we were already in California and Nevada, and Arizona is still to come. I roughly estimated that we have already driven nearly 1800km.
Back to the topic - today's day :-) After visiting the Hoover Dam, we continued towards Bryce Canyon. The journey was long, taking more than 4 hours. Always monotonously straight - driving for 4 hours can make you tired. I had a little slump in between, but that would later be worth it.
We arrived at our accommodation around 7pm (in Arizona, it is +1 hour compared to Nevada) and debated whether we should visit Bryce Canyon today or tomorrow. We decided to go today and the decision was absolutely right. Bryce Canyon is an amazing place that I highly recommend to anyone who comes here. Untouched nature, peace, tranquility, wildlife... simply indescribably beautiful. Tomorrow morning we will probably go there again, but here are already some first impressions from today:
Here in Utah, the temperatures are a bit more bearable. Around 22° and sunny, which feels almost cold after the hot Nevada. We are now in a really cozy accommodation, right at Bryce Canyon - absolutely beautiful. Everything is made of wood and naturally furnished. We have already seen a lot of wildlife here. This is where Luisa Zenner Photography gets her share :-)
Tomorrow we will continue towards Monument Valley. One natural beauty follows another. We are looking forward to it.
