The plane took off shortly after 8 o'clock in the morning towards the Galapagos Islands. After a 2-hour flight, we landed on Baltra Island. From there, we took a bus and a very slow ferry to Santa Cruz Island. From the ferry terminal, we took a taxi to the city of Santa Cruz, where we saw several giant tortoises on the way.
In the city, there is a small fish market, although it's more like a single stand. Pelicans and sea lions have made themselves comfortable around the stand, trying to steal a few fish. It looked very funny :D
Since we had some time before lunch, we walked to a lake, Lake Las Ninfas. Unfortunately, there were no animals there.
After lunch, we took a speedboat to Isabela Island. Since the large boats cannot dock directly at the pier, we had to take a water taxi first. Despite the very fast boat, the journey still took 3 hours - boring...
When we arrived on Isabella, we were picked up and took a detour to the Flamingo Lagoon.
We ended the evening at the beach.
End of Day 2.
