The good news is that we found out that our rental car has Wi-Fi. Somewhere in the car, there is a Wi-Fi router built-in, which is connected to the internet via a 4G SIM card. This not only solves our navigation problem, but also allows us to see how fast we are driving. Canada uses the metric system, so our speedometer displays km/h. Dr. Google automatically switched to mph after crossing the border and also tells us how fast we are driving. We can also send text messages and make calls via WhatsApp using the Wi-Fi if needed.

We all meet in the nearby town with the unusual name of Hungry Horse for coffee in the morning. After that, we drive 20 miles on a gravel road to the Polebridge Ranger Station. From here, we want to hike the Covey Meadow Loop Trail. The ranger informs us that the day before, a mother bear with two cubs was seen on the trail. The atmosphere was like it used to be when you had to go into the dark cellar as a child and sang loudly. Everyone made loud noises during the hike to scare away the bears. We were armed with bear spray and whistles. Since we didn't see any bears, we were probably successful.

After the excitement, we treated ourselves to a drink at the Home Ranch Bottoms.

We meet for breakfast at our accommodation, the Moose Creek Resort, and eat breakfast burritos. After that, we drive to the West entrance of Glacier NP and continue to the Johns Lake Trail Head. The hike takes us through the forest to Johns Lake and then to McDonald Creek, which we cross over a wooden bridge. After that, we reach the McDonald Waterfall. Due to significant rainfall in recent weeks, there is a lot of water in McDonald Creek. Afterward, we drove to the McDonald Lodge and enjoyed coffee and cake on Mona's terrace.

After a dinner together, our time with our friends was already over and we had to say goodbye.
