Reluctantly I have to mention that Gianna completely destroyed me in the game Stadt-Land-Fluss. As it is quite windy outside, we are sitting in our bus playing this evil game!😰
Since we have been traveling down the West Coast, the weather has become very cool. Currently in Geralton, it's only 20 degrees and very windy. Now that I have a lot of time to rethink my life or to find myself, which is often mocked, I have started to feel a bit restless. And not because of the journey itself but rather because of the What-comes-after-the-journey restlessness!
Currently, we are both very relaxed and enjoying life. We can sort our thoughts and contemplate what our lives should be like.
But when we return, should we go back to working from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm every day, coming home, quickly eating something, watching TV, and then going to bed? And then repeating the same routine every day until the weekend when we can somewhat pursue our hobbies and relax.
Of course, this is an exaggerated statement (or maybe not?), but I don't want work to once again dictate my life.
Therefore, the work-life balance should improve RADICALLY, that's our resolution!
In addition, we think it's ABSOLUTELY CRAP how much plastic packaging is sold everywhere and how much waste we generate on our journey 🤮!!
We finally have time to focus on the really important things and not all this busy work that is called work. This journey is bringing about exactly what it should, namely a major change in thinking! We are appalled when we have to throw away food (which practically never happens anymore) or when we see how people disrespect nature.
Gianna even picked up plastic in a parking lot and disposed of it in the trash cans, I was quite amazed 😃👍.
And no, we haven't become eco-freaks or work refusers. On the contrary, we no longer look at the world so blindly as before, but rather take the time (which we have in abundance) to embark on the journey.
We realize that we don't really need a lot of our material possessions in Switzerland. All the junk that accumulates when you live in an apartment, the thousand items of clothing that you never wear, and even the 70 pairs of shoes are all luxuries that you don't actually need.
Whether all these good intentions will last when we return... Who knows, but we certainly hope so!
And of course, we are looking forward to Switzerland again! To all of you! 😍
We now have a list of things we want to do when we get back home, so reserve some time 😉!
Enough with the emotional mumbo-jumbo. Our journey in this amazing country continues to Shark Bay! As the name suggests, this is where various shark species like to swim. And of course, one of the highlights – dolphins!
An evil saying goes that dolphins are gay sharks, so it's fitting that they live here 😬!
Giana's brother explained that dolphins are actually not that nice. I can only say that dolphins apparently quite enjoy having sex and even "rape" a female dolphin. ☹️ (It's true!) They also apparently like to have sex with the blowholes of their colleagues!?! What the hell is wrong with these creatures?
Now that you have this knowledge, here are the cute photos ;-)!
In Monkey Mia, these adorable marine creatures are fed three times every morning. Of course, this attracts crowds of visitors and there were probably about 100 people there. I don't need to explain how delighted I was when a lady tried to take a photo right between my legs..
Well, it was truly impressive to have the dolphins swim so close to us! We had to be careful because the group of dolphins had a 4-day-old baby with them. That's why all the fun only lasted about 15 minutes because the mother had to go to deeper water to nurse her calf.
After this tourist frenzy, we sought tranquility again and rented a kayak.
We paddled along the beach with quite a headwind, and I even saw a shark! It was so exciting 😜
And with this wonderful play on words, we wish you a good time and see you next time! 😎
