We left the holiday apartment this morning after breakfast in the hope that the cleaner would have a migraine-free day today (more information on this in yesterday's post).
Today, unlike yesterday, it took 3km before it started to rain, but it didn't stop all day.
In a bakery in Gieboldehausen, the waitress was kind enough to give us (unused) garbage bags.
In addition to the rain, their eyes follow us; who am I talking about? In any case, I constantly feel compelled to tell them where I work.
The cycle path network, meanwhile, relies on suboptimal road surfaces, which is why we decided to use country, district and federal roads, which do not always represent the shortest route, but can be used reasonably well.
Especially since Corpus Christi is also being celebrated in the cathedral this evening, with a solemn procession, albeit in the church (some parishioners are in Erfurt at the Catholic Convention), the festival in which the most important thing for us Catholics is celebrated, the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ in the Eucharist.
After the service and procession, we visit a pizzeria where we can enjoy a good meal after the exertions of the day. My recommendation: pork schnitzel with Bolognese sauce and baked cheese - for when you're a little hungry in between meals...
