Today we explored Argostoli. This small bustling town (the largest city on Kefalonia) is located on a peninsula at the very attractive bay of the same name. The tip of the peninsula, where our campsite is also situated, is lined with numerous beautiful beaches featuring bizarre rocky edges.
In my opinion, the town of Argostoli doesn't offer much. The best thing to say is that it doesn't feel as mass-touristic as other tourist centers.
What we liked most were the false loggerhead turtles enjoying the remnants of the fishermen in the harbor basin.
In the evening, we find a quiet spot in the beautiful bay of Atheras. When we arrive, there are still a few day guests on the beach. At night, we share the bay only with the sailboats anchored there, some goats, and a little fox that comes to visit us.
