After the first, very relaxed days in New York, it was time to really get started. There was a long list of things to see and do. So, the first day started at 9am and we picked up our New York Pass. This pass gives you access to almost all the attractions in the city. We rented bikes and rode leisurely through Central Park, Harlem, and the Bronx to Yankee Stadium. When we arrived, we were told that there were no tours today. According to the internet, there were. So, we had to admire it from the outside and then rode back to Central Park and took a bike tour where we discovered some unexpected places. To make up for the closed stadium, we visited Madison Square Garden where we got the tour we had booked. The most famous building in Manhattan is, of course, the Empire State Building, and we definitely wanted to go up. So, we lined up. But thanks to our pass, we didn't have to wait long and could enter through the VIP access, bypassing everyone else. Once we reached the top, we had a panoramic view of the whole city. We had a slice of pizza as a late afternoon snack and then treated ourselves to a boat tour called "Harbor Lights" in the evening. We fell into bed completely exhausted at night.
