I discovered a fortress opposite the meeting point for the boat tour and I visited it for 12 soles (3€). It is gigantic and is still used by the military, so you can still see some soldiers walking around. You have to unwind a lot of meters. I always find something like that interesting, even if there wasn't that much signage. There was also a museum and some exhibits. You could walk through dark and narrow streets and also up and down towers. So all in all a successful visit. Afterwards I walked around the streets in Callao and my impression that everything is cheaper here seems to be true. If I had gotten local food, I wouldn't have paid more than 10 everything (€2.50). There were also hamburgers for 5 soles (1.25€). I first got a large scoop of peppermint ice cream for 2.50 soles (0.75€) and then a large pizza with 2 dips for only 5€. Pizza was really tasty, but the dips didn't really convince me, although the idea of offering dips for the side is a good thing. However, the edge also tasted so good. Then I wandered through the streets and the sun came out more and more. Then I went to La Punta, the upper end of the district, which is right by the sea. Nice view and some well-visited beaches. I then walked almost 2 kilometers along the coast and when I was exhausted, I looked for the bus. I have to say, I could get used to taking a taxi, but with the bus it only cost me 4 soles (1€) compared to 40 soles (10€). But you never know exactly where the bus is going and the never-named name is a disaster. If I was pressed for time I would never take the bus, but it definitely gives you an authentic experience. When I arrived I picked up a movie ticket for later at 10:10 p.m. I'm watching a movie about an earthquake. I'm curious to see what kind of snacks they have. In any case, the cinema ticket only cost me 8 soles (2€) and I have to revise my opinion a little. You can also live cheaply in Lima. My first impression was that everything is expensive, but if you consider how much it costs to eat out in Germany, it's similar or if you choose the local cuisine, you get a whole menu for €2-3. I'll be at the hotel for a moment and then head straight to the cinema. Luckily the walk is only 5 minutes.
