Our route took us to another point, right by the sea.
By now, this was no longer the European North Sea, but rather the North Sea, both bordering seas of the Atlantic Ocean.
From 'Verdens Ende', we had an excellent view of the open sea from various vantage points, and somehow also a little bit towards home.
'Verdens Ende' translates to 'The end of the world'.
Since we didn't have the best weather, with clouds and wind blowing past us in a frenzy, waves crashing over the surf, hardly anyone, a ship, or even another island in sight, except for the small rocky outcrops that make up Verdens Ende, it really felt a bit like we had reached the end of the world.
But where does the world actually begin and end? Since it has been proven that the world is a sphere, no one really knows the answer to this question. So the Norwegians just created their own end of the world.
A beautiful feeling to sit there and listen to the sea.
