Tsitsikamma and the leap into nowhere

After a strengthening breakfast we went to the Tsitsikamma National Park, where a few days earlier a devastating flood had cleared away the restaurant on the coast and expertly folded it up. The clean-up work was in full swing, but fortunately the path along the jagged, mist-covered rocks was passable.

After about 45 minutes and then a few meters in altitude, we reached a beautifully situated bench with a wonderful view of the mouth of the Storm River.

Having ticked off the first item on the agenda for the day, we drove to the highest bridge, the Blaukranz Bridge, where you have the opportunity to do the highest bridge bungy jump in the world.

Tine and I dared...

Then you get put on a full-body harness, a helmet and then you ride a zipline below the road to the middle of the arched bridge from where you are greeted with a scream of adrenaline by the breathtaking view of the sea on the left and the beautiful gorge on the right . A little later, your helmet came off and new ropes were placed around you. The two men who accompany you to the edge count five, four, three, two, one, go and give you a little jolt and you just stop breathing and scream. Now it's just a matter of head out and loooooooooos as you jump 216 meters into the depths.

Breathtaking, adrenaline, freedom and the world is upside down... simply indescribable.

And in the evening a delicious beer and good food in the pub, a dream day.
