On the first day of the return journey, we made a stop in Split: the old town, the Diocletian's Palace, we were the only tourists (😂), prices for coffee or ice cream that you know from Germany but haven't missed in the last days and weeks, the tiny yachts in the harbor, the markets with all sorts of trinkets.
The highway from Medjugorje to Zagreb is amazing: new, little traffic. People who regularly use high-quality road surfaces in western Germany can develop envy.
And it's hard to imagine the hardships that the Medjugorje pilgrims have endured, who rode the bus on the coastal road - which was not yet so well developed at the time - due to the lack of a highway.
After crossing Slovenia, we finally arrived at the Treglwangerhof in Treglwang (!) for dinner and overnight stay - highly recommended.
