There is not so much to say about Newquay. Newquay is England's surfer paradise at the Atlantic Ocean. Many coves with beaches, wind and sun. I learned, that Jamie Oliver has a restaurant next to Newquay and that the crew, who produces the Rosamunde Pilcher-movies, is situated here most of the time. Unfortunately, I didn't see them. 😯
I lived there in a hostel for two nights. I thought I booked a single room, but by booking it, I wasn't sure if I was really booking a single room. It wasn't clear at the booking site of Expedia. And what surprise, I landed in a 10-bed-room with boys and girls. It was ok, but after this holidays I know, that this is not the best for me. I can't sleep well with foreign people in my room. For future no shared rooms anymore. Though, I met some nice people in my room:
A Canadian as well as an Australian girl, who were on a work & travel-trip through the UK
A Swedish guy, who did a free diving-course in Newquay
Three english surfer-boys
A young man, who is engineer at Vodafone and was on a business trip. He gets money from his company and then he can choose his accomdation himself. If the accomodation is cheaper, he can save the money. That's why he had choosen a shared room at the hostel.
Outside the hostel I also met nice people like the manager of my hostel and a couple, who was celebrating their 25. wedding anniversary. It was so nice to talking to all that people. 😀😀😀
In Newquay, I went to beach for relaxing, watching the surfers, reading and enjoying the sun after so much travelling. Yes, the sun was coming back. That was great. For me the temperatures are going up slowly:
Newquay on Monday: 19 degrees
Newquay on Tuesday: 23 degrees
London on Wednesday: 30 degrees
Karlsruhe from Thursday to Sunday: up to 36 degrees
The temperatures here are felt warmer than in Germany. Especially on Tuesday, it was really warm. 😊😊😊 But I'm happy that I will come back to Karlsruhe in the heat. Maybe you will complain and I will enjoy it, that I don't need to take my clothes on and off all the time. No wind anymore. This will be great. 😃😃😃
In the evening I had very delicious dinners and watched the sunsets. The sunsets were lovelly, but unfortunately there were some clouds. I love to see the sunset.
I guess, that's all I had to say about Newquay. Enjoy the pictures.
