Our first day started with a good breakfast at the hotel - thank goodness there is one here, so we don't have to worry about getting food in the morning :-D.
After that, we went to look at our first apartments:
1. no way!!! even a first class cleaning service couldn't make this toilet clean again :-D
2. well, we wouldn't want to live here either :-D
3. Finally an apartment that is actually clean, has 2 beds and everything you need - the owner lives in the same building - whether we are excited about that, well, he was a bit intrusive: 45,000 rupees (560€) so much for living cheap in India as students.
After postponing the broker for the next day, we went to the university - nobody knows anything, everything is a bit disorganized. Great start - but at least one thing, they organized a broker for us for the next day, who will show us several apartments.
Finally, we needed passport photos so we went to Khan Market - thousands of small shops next to each other. 8 passport photos for 1.6€ - yes, Germany/Austria please take an example :-D
At the end of the day, we went to see another apartment - jackpot super super super nice - well, nice by Indian standards, clean, super safe location and 'nice' neighborhood - you really can't imagine it being anything like Germany or similar countries - good areas here look like the last holes in Germany :-D
