The first night was better than expected. The kids are doing great. We woke up a few times but ultimately slept until 5am. Before breakfast, we explored plants and animals.
After breakfast, Micha came to us. He is the son of a Swiss emigrant, was born here, and has a family. Luckily, he speaks fluent German. He gave us a Costa Rican phone along with lots of instructions and tips. Then the rental car came to the lodge. It will be picked up from there in 2 weeks.
So far, we are all very excited about the flora and fauna. The boys really enjoyed the Tico breakfast (Tico is what the locals are called).
