With a small breakfast in our stomachs, we took the ferry to Isla Mujeres. On the ferry, we were entertained with music, and even though it was only 9:30 am, we were already offered our first tequila.
Upon arriving on the island, which can only be explored by golf carts or scooters, we first went straight to the beach. The pictures didn't lie, the water was clear and the sand was white, something I haven't seen in a long time.
After spending a few hours in the water, we looked for a restaurant for lunch and found a charming garden. https://www.northgarden.com.mx/
Here is the link to the restaurant so you can check out the amazing location.🤭
With Mexican food in our stomachs, we continued to the famous Playa Norte beach.
We wanted to rent a golf cart to go to the other side of the island, but they were so expensive that we spontaneously decided to take the bus instead.
The bus dropped us off somewhere in the middle of the island, but unfortunately not where we wanted to go. Instead of walking, James tried hitchhiking and we were actually picked up by the two Carolines in their golf cart to drive to the end of the island. After taking some photos, they even gave us a ride back to the center of the island.
Back at the beach one more time, dinner and a few drinks later, we headed back to Cancun on the ferry.
