4 weeks in Brazil

Oñemoherakuãva: 10.03.2018

This week we tried to bring our countries of origin closer to the children (under the motto of 'interculturality'). This includes eating habits, music, different cities and landscapes, but also a little politics (for the older ones). We also introduced our families to show that families can be very different, but in the end they are still family and there is no right or wrong (e.g. blended families, single-parent families, etc.). In addition, the children were very interested in learning our languages. So we used one day to teach them the most important words in Spanish, English, French, and German. I was surprised and impressed that the children were so curious and already knew some German words 🤓👍🏻. They recognized the similarity between English and German, and also that Portuguese, Spanish, and French have the same roots. 💪🏻👌🏻 So we have already achieved a lot this week and I hope it will be similar next week. But for now, it's the weekend! I'm already looking forward to the next week, because Caro, Mary, and I are going to the Iguaçu Falls at the tri-border area (Paraguay, Brazil, and Argentina). Of course, I will take many photos and report about it ☝🏻😌.
