Project failed

Oñemoherakuãva: 30.03.2017

We wake up to the best weather. After uploading the latest blog entries including photos, we make our way to Byron Bay. The small town on the Pacific has been recommended to us by many and accordingly our expectations are high. While searching for a suitable campsite, we realize that the prices here are not exactly low. With the help of our app, we decide on a campsite that is located near both the city center and the beach. Arriving at the site, we set up our chairs and table in the shade under a tree, read, and enjoy our fruit.

After a leisurely lunch break, we are surprised and annoyed to find that Australian shade is apparently equivalent to sunbathing in Germany. The project "zero sunburn" has failed for both of us after 5 weeks... Accordingly, we adjust our afternoon plans: instead of sunbathing at the beach, we stroll through the town. Cafes, smoothie bars, restaurants, snack bars, and surfboard shops (those things are quite expensive). Despite the sunburn, we don't let it ruin our mood because we quite like the town.

We cook at the campsite (vegetable pasta) and spend the rest of the evening reading.
