We drove to Wai-o-tapu early in the morning and visited the Wai-o-tapu Wonderland. There, you could see different springs and craters in different colors! At the beginning of the morning, you could watch a geyser erupt! A local helped the geyser erupt by pouring a biologically assembled mixture into it. After about 5 minutes, it started to spray water into the air. After that, you could take a 1-hour walk through the park and admire the awe-inspiring nature. Most of the springs and craters had a temperature of over 100 degrees. The only unpleasant thing was that the springs were made of sulfur and smelled like rotten eggs.

The next day, we visited Hobbiton Movie Set. We drove to Matamata, where our tour started. We were picked up by a bus and taken to the movie set with our guide. Along the way, we were told about how the film was shot there. When we arrived, we were taken on a tour of the set, passing by all the different hobbit houses. It was really beautiful, like a village, and you could really immerse yourself in the film. The last stop was at the Green Dragon, the inn of Hobbiton. There, we got a free drink and could enjoy our time.
