Oñemoherakuãva: 01.03.2019

Today I got up very comfortably again because I didn't have to go to work until 12:30 pm. The weather today is very changeable. In the morning the sun was shining and the sky was bright blue. An hour later it was raining cats and dogs. The rain continued all day long. At half past 12 I was at the House of Hope. The cooks were outside for their cigarette break. Inside, the bean stew simmered away and required very little attention. Nevertheless, there were 5 of them in the kitchen today!! So I took a break with them and waited for the bowls to be filled at 1:30 pm. When the children arrived, I sat down with them again to talk. Some of them still recognized me from yesterday and started asking me questions on their own. I told them that I come from Switzerland and most of the children immediately knew which country that is, or rather which flag is on the wall. I think Switzerland is a very important country for them because the founders of the House of Hope come from Switzerland (and therefore the money). A boy asked me if I came by helicopter :).
After lunch, I helped with the dishes again and then the work day was already over. It was exciting to see today how differently the children were dressed. Despite pouring rain, some children wore only flip-flops and did not wear a raincoat. Others, however, had a wool hat on their heads. The children wear a school uniform here, but even this is torn for some children.
Before I went home from the House of Hope, I asked Maria if I should come earlier the next day. She said no no you are here on vacation, come whenever you want! I tried to explain to her that I am actually here to help and not for vacation. However, they don't want my help, so I made an agreement with her that I will come at 1 pm the next day.
