Before I start, I have to take care of the flat tire. It was patched quickly, but I can't pump it up enough with my toy pump. My real pump broke after the first hole, and to have any pump at all, I had bought a small emergency pump in Præstø. So I quickly go to a well-equipped bike shop, pump it up, and then say goodbye to Veronica and head north.
It's raining on and off all day, but luckily not heavily. However, the wind is picking up again.
The landscape is slowly changing. It's becoming rockier.
I keep seeing these dry stone walls used to mark property boundaries.
Furthermore, these beautiful flowers have been accompanying me since Sweden, if not even since Denmark. Are these lupines?
From Åsa, it's about another 4 km towards the coast into no man's land. I double-check multiple times if I'm really going the right way. I ride on gravel roads and hope not to get another flat tire. Then I arrive at the beautiful house of Mårten and his family.
I get to stay in the red neighboring house.
It's very charming and despite the 15 degrees, I enjoy the outdoor shower.
The sea is already about 250 meters away from the house.
