After a tip from a friend over a cup of coffee and a stylish haircut...
we have now arrived in the seaside resort Rerik. We settle in at the campsite with its state-of-the-art sanitary facilities, find a great shady spot, and immediately feel at home as we hop on our bicycles to explore the surroundings.
We quickly head to the beach promenade, where there are numerous gastronomic establishments. The weather is great, we stroll around, admire the sometimes overly expensive souvenirs, take some photos, and then indulge in exploring the area.
We find a small rest area right by the bike path and a sign that provides an overview of the Baltic Sea Cycle Route.
On the overview sign of the Baltic Sea Cycle Route, we spot a historical attraction that we want to visit later this afternoon. Giant stone graves...
...which are called dolmens here. An impressive sight that we thoroughly inspect and carefully read the information panel, in case we are asked about it by the campsite owner tonight.
After so much culture, it is now time to think about the necessary shopping and errands, but these plans are thwarted by the local Edeka supermarket. There is already a long line of people waiting to get in, so we quickly change our plans and head back to the charming promenade for some more sightseeing.
We take another look at the photo of the information panel of the historical monument and immediately feel hungry. We think about food and decide to cook spaghetti ourselves.
The waiter, as seen in the picture, is visibly disappointed, as there will be no generous tip today. That's it, ciao.
