Hello,
I would like to tell you about my days on the Sunshine Coast with my great aunt. Unfortunately, it rained most of the time, so we were often indoors. By the way, this hardly bothered me. So I could relax a bit, sort photos and continue writing my blog :-)
When it wasn't raining, I helped Angelika a bit in the garden or we took a walk to Gibsons. Gibsons is a small village very close to Angelika's house and has the charm of a small North American fishing village: its own harbor with many sailboats, a market hall and many small shops. It's pretty quiet there, so it can happen that you see a few deer in the front yard of a house. The place became famous mainly because of the TV series 'The Beach Pirates', which is probably only known to the 'older' generation. The series doesn't mean anything to me anyway :-D
Otherwise, not much happened during those days. We baked an apple pie and many neighbors dropped by spontaneously. An older married couple from Germany even invited us for cake and coffee one afternoon. I was amazed at how good and close the neighborhood relationship is there :-)
On Saturday, a friend visited me whom I had met a few days earlier in Vancouver. We had a cozy evening with some snacks and Harry Potter movies.
On Monday, I will continue to an island where I will work on a farm. The days with my great aunt went by way too quickly... But I will definitely come back during or at the end of my trip.
