Located only 90 minutes from Sydney are the Blue Mountains. A larger national park and probably one of the most famous ones. There are many smaller villages in the national park, which is something we are not familiar with. Just before Katoomba, we took the Tourist Drive. This led us to several lookout points (all with very short walking distance). The highlight were the 3 Sisters, three rocks. These are sacred sites of the Aboriginal people. The entire lookouts are crowded with tourists (mostly with tour buses). Nevertheless, the trip to the Blue Mountains is worth it, a great landscape.
After seeing what we wanted to see, we drove back to the coast. In the evening, we stopped at a camping site just after Newcastle.
