As it was lightly raining again, I waited and stayed in bed. Around 11 am, I grabbed my rain jacket and backpack and went shopping. 20 minutes later, I was standing in front of the shelves, thinking about what to cook for today😁 Breakfast: scrambled eggs with fresh baguette and dinner: rice and vegetable stir-fry.
After two portions like that, I was stuffed. I took a digestion break and then went cycling. The slight hyperactivity kicked in after the rainy day yesterday😁 By 3 pm, I was exhausted. And since the sun was shining, I started doing laundry. I kneaded underwear, shirts, and t-shirts and after about an hour, everything was clean and hanging on the clothesline to dry. I talked to my family on the phone and then started making the rice stir-fry. While the rice was cooking, I chopped the vegetables and put them in the pot when the rice was ready. Season the vegetables and then add the rice. Stir well and ta-da!
I had once again underestimated and ended up with 3 huge plates in front of me. I could have rolled afterwards. But my towel was dry and I quickly took a shower. After washing the dishes, I decided to go for a "relaxed" bike ride. I wanted to watch the sunset where I was two days ago. However, there was a group of Germans in my age group in front of me on the narrow path. There were easily 100 of them. I slowly made my way through the crowd, always saying "Excuse me" and "Thank you". But when I arrived at my spot, there were a lot of people there as well. So I decided to continue riding up. I was sweating like a pig again. But when I reached the top, the sun was just setting and there were also many people there. I leisurely pedaled but arrived at the bus completely soaked. I met Jens, a T3 California driver from Aachen, and had a little chat with a beer in hand. I was tired and went to sleep early because I had a workshop appointment tomorrow.
