Hello, you sheep🐏

Our journey continued to Phuket, a large island in the south of Thailand.

We got into a taxi that picked us up at the small bridge where we had arrived. Sheryn had given us a few small chocolate cakes for the journey, which I thought was great considering we hadn't had any breakfast. I boldly bit into one of the small, chocolatey treats and was delighted by the chocolatey juiciness of the cake... until Julian told me that Sheryn had given us space cakes... Oops. Half an hour later, I was giggling on the bus at my slow thoughts, which sounded like an echo in my head.

The drive to the airport in Bangkok was a celebration and, despite the seven-hour journey, it flew by. Our flight to Phuket was very turbulent and I briefly regretted not having written to my parents and sister before take-off to say that I loved them, until I remembered that I had ridden worse rollercoasters and that planes rarely crash. An hour later we landed in Phuket and drove to our accommodation. It was now late in the evening and the trip combined with the space cake had worn me out so much that I fell into bed and fell asleep shortly after we arrived. So quickly that I didn't even think about setting an alarm clock because we were going to pick up Tobias' girlfriend at the airport the next morning. As you can imagine, this was chaos again because neither of the two men thought of it. I woke up at 9:20 a.m. and almost jumped out of bed when I saw that it was already light outside. The moment I opened WhatsApp, a message from Julia came in, asking where we would pick her up. We quickly arranged for her to take a taxi to our accommodation. After a brief panic on my part, as Julia had no internet and I therefore couldn't reach her and the address on her ticket didn't match that of our hostel, I tried to contact the taxi driver with the help of our host. Long story short, no use. Julia arrived safely, adding to the chaos of our tour group. We only spent one day in Phuket, exploring the city a bit (which admittedly isn't particularly pretty) and walking through a great night market that had so many different street food stalls that we could hardly decide what to eat. We just tried a little bit of as many things as we could.

We decided to skip the red light district during our tour, as we were still quite worn out from our days in Bangkok. We booked our onward journey to Krabi that evening and ended the evening with a few rounds of UNO (with Grandma Gisela in mind, with whom I had entire UNO battles every Wednesday).

See you then🐑

Your travel group chaos.
