Heike decided that we have rested enough and now we need to leave the pool and hotel. That's why we rented scooters to explore the island.
The traffic in Thailand can be described as anarchistic. Just like Heike's style! So it didn't really bother anyone that Heike sometimes ignored driving on the left. Luckily, Flora, who was sitting on her scooter, reminded her that everyone else drives somehow differently. Now the kids also understand the joke: 'What? A wrong-way driver? Nonsense, hundreds!'
To introduce the children to some culture, we went to Ko Samui's landmark: the golden Big Buddha. After that, we also went to Uta, the Buddha that Christian likes because of his warmth and his laughing brother.
The children were more fascinated by the giant fish swimming around the Buddhas in the pond than by the Buddhas themselves.
In the spirit of the compassionate Buddha, Heike also showed compassion and allowed us to return to our pool.
