As beautiful as Lake Garda is, we had to move on - to be precise: I had to move on. Karl-Heinz had 100 days to find some sun somewhere and was kind enough to want to accompany me to Umbria. However, that had nothing to do with sunshine. It was overcast when we left Lake Garda and it was raining when we stopped near Pisa at the Ellis family - an afternoon marked by the desperate search of German tourists for something edible before 7 PM and an evening filled with laughter, hide-and-seek, and card games. Thank you very much! :-)
This afternoon we drove towards Umbria in pouring rain. My olive grove is secluded, on a hill, with beautiful holiday apartments and, should the clouds part, a breathtaking view. I’ll prove it to you later! We were welcomed with bread, freshly pressed olive oil from yesterday, and red wine - I have arrived (and I am NEVER leaving here again ,-))
I thank Karl-Heinz for the pleasant company. It was definitely much nicer not having to drink red wine alone in the evening and having an uncomplicated navigator and companion. Also in this direction: Thank you!!!
