Hello dear ones!
Unfortunately, it took me a while to write this blog post. This week I had another exam, the last intermediate exam, and next week the final exams will already begin. #goodbyelife #hellotostudying.
Anyway, in the last post I told you that I was going to the Christmas Lights Switch on in the evening. I don't want to keep that from you, but I will show it to you in the next blog post (which will come right after this one :)), because as you can hopefully see in the title, today it's about something else - our trip to Amsterdam!
This trip can be summed up in 3 words: soaking wet, freezing cold, super fun.
Unfortunately, the weather was terrible. It rained continuously, and we maybe had 3 dry hours in total. But it was still fun. Here we go:
That was our hotel room. If you ever fly to Amsterdam, I can highly recommend this hotel! It is the Amsterdam Teleport Hotel.
National Monument
We started Friday with a walking tour of Amsterdam. From the National Monument to the Red Light District to the Anne Frank House, we saw it all. Our tour guide was great; I think you get to know the city best and learn the most with walking tours like this.
The Anne Frank House - we didn't go inside, to get tickets you need a lot of luck and patience. Or order them online 2 months in advance.
Amsterdam <3
More Amsterdam <3
The food in Amsterdam is also very, very good. If you're there, you absolutely have to try the Dutch cheese (if you like cheese). But it's not just cheese (although the cheese in the burger was also from Holland :D)
Amsterdam is also getting ready for Advent and Christmas - so beautiful!!
The two days we were there passed way too quickly. I definitely want to go back to Amsterdam, but preferably in the summer :)
Next week we're already going on the next trip - London calling! But after we come back from there, the final exams will really start. Unbelievable, but in 4 weeks I'll be back home. Please don't misunderstand me, I'm really looking forward to it. But I also love Irish life very, very much. When we came back from Amsterdam and I saw Ireland from the airplane, I thought 'yay, I feel at home again'. Well, almost at home. Well, you can also be at home in 2 places. Take a look at the photo, maybe you'll understand.
Now I won't wish you a nice weekend yet, because I'm going to write the 2nd entry right away and of course I hope that you'll read it too :P Joking aside, have a wonderful 1st Advent weekend <3
With lots of love from Cork
