Hello, hello from warm Thailand, I heard it's minus degrees where you live... I might never come back when I think about it
After this day I love Thailand a hundred times more. After all the days full of action, we just didn't do ANYTHING today. Some of us went to a national park but I and a few others let our souls unwind and switched back and forth between the pool, the sea and the restaurant. Simply fantastic. We even built a huge sandcastle by the sea. Anna and I must have made 30 ass bombs in the pool and for lunch we had... drum roll...
Burgers and fries!!!! I missed it so much. This kiosk on the street also looked really trustworthy and I just looked away when I saw the hair in the burger…
Of course we also treated ourselves to a Thai massage for €7.70 today.
After dinner, Anna and I had another mission.
Swimming naked at night was still on our bucket list. You can guess three times who came up with naked. But you just have to do it.
No shit, I don't think I've ever felt so free. We ran into the sea and threw ourselves into the waves. We bawled and laughed. In the moonlight, the stars above us and in front of us a huge island where we could only see the lights of the boats. The water was so warm and I almost had a panic attack at the beginning because I didn't know what could be swimming next to me.
Suddenly someone came with a flashlight and we sprinted off laughing. Of course we couldn't find our clothes at first and the dude got closer and closer. But then we made it in time. After that we had something of a main character moment. We, still completely wet, in the dark, only stars and the sound of the sea around us, start running and just scream into the sky. I hope you can see it in front of you. This moment of absolute freedom. I jumped in the air and was just sooo happy.
I've analyzed it once, be prepared: It's so easy to switch off here because apart from WhatsApp, nothing connects me to my life at home, nobody knows where I'm at home or talks to me about work and stuff like that. This is so awesome.
This trip is really amazing, I never thought that after 6 days I would feel so comfortable among complete strangers.
Oh and what I also find crazy is that the older people here said to me today how cool they think my relaxed nature is, that I do everything so spontaneously. When we were at the sea at lunchtime, one of them wanted to go in, but then she thought, oh no, I still need that, and then I'll be wet, and stuff like that. And I find that so crazy, because when do you stop doing the things you want to do and start thinking too much 🥲
