Ahoi!
Yesterday we went down the Tisza with Kurt on the boat.
There is nothing better than being by the water and jumping into the cool water on warm temperatures.
Well, at 27 degrees water temperature, it's not a real cooling off anymore but it's definitely better than nothing.
Here, besides the river, there is an absolute jungle and nature is allowed to take its course here. Everything grows and thrives here in various shades of green.
Our freshly baked freshwater captain at the helm is also green behind the ears.
I played the role of the catfish bait on the boat, which is commonly fished in this region.
Fortunately, I wasn't caught by a catfish and I was able to admire the beautiful nature and the different bird species. Grey herons, black eagles, cormorants, and ducks were some of our discoveries. And we saw a bird that we don't know. Maybe someone can help us here?
We kept going until we reached the lake.
The question is where?
In case of doubt, dear friends, always follow your nose. (Gandalf's wisdom is just appropriate.) Besides, on every ship that floats and sways, there's someone who babbles stupidly.
Our noses then led us back to the harbor after a total of 2.5 hours on the river and the lake.
Here we made friends with a few young ducks and then drove back home.
In the shade of the house, we quietly let the afternoon fade away and I really let myself "hang."
Here I wrote the reports from yesterday and let my soul dangle a little.
Today we planned our further tour due to the current weather.
Tomorrow we will go to Zagreb early in the morning and then continue towards the north and Slovenia from Monday. Here we want to explore Ljubljana and then make our way home through the north of Slovenia or via Klagenfurt.
Let's see how it goes. Hopefully without traffic jam tomorrow. Sending hugs.
Yours, Britta
