After most of my planned tours had to be cancelled due to the floods in Townsville, I was especially excited when I finally went to Fraser Island. For a day on the largest sand island in the world!
We started off by taking the ferry â´ over the sea. After a 45-minute journey, we finally arrived and then boarded one of the many Fraser Explorer Tours buses along with 38 others.
Our first stop was the 75 Mile Beach.
We passed by the legendary shipwreck and went all the way to the colorful sand dunes, called Pinnacle, until we reached Eli Creek, where you can float down on a swim ring in 18°C cold water.
