Seventeenth stop: Queenstown

For four weeks now, I have been traveling the South Island and it's unbelievable how many beautiful experiences I've had. The thought that my travel time will eventually come to an end already makes me sad. But now let's talk about Queenstown.

Queenstown is truly a beautiful city and I had many wonderful days there. It is a very large city, with lots of shops but also lots of nature. It took me about a day to explore the famous places in the city, and there are definitely places I haven't been to yet.

I also had the best burger of my life and a very delicious but also very unhealthy breakfast.

I took the gondola up to Queenstown Hill. I had a very nice view of the skyline of Queenstown.

As for the weather, I can only say that it keeps getting better and it's really warm. Everything looks a thousand times more beautiful in the sunshine. Queenstown is located on Lake Wakatipu, surrounded by a lot of forest.

On the day we were at the lake, it was incredibly windy to the point where we could hardly take a step forward. But fortunately, the sun was shining so it wasn't too cold! Queenstown is one of my favorite cities, along with Christchurch ♡

In Queenstown, a new adventure begins for me, which I'm really looking forward to. Elli and I have rented a car for three weeks and we will drive it all the way to Dunedin. I'm excited to see how exciting it will be!
