Yes! Definitely yes! The journey has now truly begun and we are doing what we are here to do. Life!
And I have 4 hours to write on the way back.
There are questions for you in the text. Therefore, please read carefully.
Around the world in your 50s? That's okay. Get up at 3:30. Sleepily shoveling yoghurt into yourself. Ohhh uber is at the door on time. We have to go. 4.10 in Miraflores. We will be picked up at 5 a.m. What stress. Is it worth ? No idea. A company had already written to us in advance about how it would work. There is even a Whatsapp group. Ohh hopefully they don't want to sell us anything
Everything came out positive!
So we got on the bus shortly after 5. It was a sleeper bus. Super cool thing. We were able to sit back, lift our feet and sleep at a good 130 degrees. Well, except for me again. This is how I kept Laura happy đŚ. The journey should take 3 hours to the first destination. Speedboat with sightings of pelican penguins and sea lions. At around 7 we stopped for the first stop. Laura didn't want to eat anything. But let's be honest, yoghurt at 3.30 doesn't make Freddy happy. Bananas are delicious on top of that, but they can't be kept for 90 days. So a quick stop. Toilet. And buy pan. It smelled so delicious - there was no other way. For 7 sol - less than 2 euros, 2 pan con jamon y queso and 1 pan con queso were quickly packed. I was told it is traditionally prepared in a wooden oven. Hence the smell, as the ovens were running next door and could be seen. Back on the bus with Laura, the good lady had a bigger appetite and enjoyed this delicious bread. Something so delicious - it was still warm and the dough was indescribable. The inside was also extremely well put together and seasoned, so I immediately thought about selling these breads in Germany oO
Would you like to try this then đąđ
An hour of further relaxation woke me up too. First excursion point reached. Get on the boat. It was fun and we saw a few animals. See for yourself - pictures to follow. You can't imagine the sound of sea lions. Sounds so cute. But I don't think the animals are that cute. Because there were hardly any penguins left. Maybe 20 more in total. Apparently they are a delicacy for the sea lions.
Afterwards we got homemade Peruvian chocolate at a stand and went to lunch. An old winery provided traditional Peruvian cuisine. This tasted really good. The dishes were hard to pronounce. Laura's meal was called CARAPULCRA CON SOPA SECA.
But hey, just try it. It was pasta with pesto and next to it were beans in a potato and pork sauce. It was really delicious. I had Peruvian rice with chicken and potatoes in some kind of mustard sauce.
Do you know dishes from Peru and can you recommend any? :)
Everyone who travels here should also carry toilet paper with them. When it comes to this, Peruvians really have a blast. Either you get 3! Really only 3! Leaves from the receptionist. Or if there isn't one and you're so on the house and haven't thought about the paper, you have to get creative. There is never paper in the toilets. You should never throw it into the water and rinse it away. Oh, I'm a criminal.
So going to the toilet is always an adventure. Often there is no toilet seat. Savings madness or they're just into that sort of thing. No idea.
Another challenge is of course the well-known phenomenon. Are you a scoop or a butterfly? Since I unfortunately belong to the first category, a rethink must take place đ
After the meal there was a drinks tasting. 5 wines (each around 18%) and a Pisco (42%) were inhaled. Then we moved on to the main goal. The oasis including buggy rides and sandboarding.
We were whipped through the desert in a 10-person buggy and were allowed to speed down a dune a good 30 meters on the board.
Be careful: if you want to see the video, you should write to me via WhatsApp. Then he gets this :)
Unfortunately, I missed a bump the second time I was boarding and got breadcrumbed - which is only now noticeable in selfies.
His teeth are still grinding from the sand. But it was funny.
Overall the oasis was great. It was really easy to see everything and have a good rest. Nevertheless, we are happy that we did the trip for the price and didn't spend a night each in Ica, Pisco and the oasis, because the places aren't worth it. As nice as it was for today. The landscape is so dirty and the rest of the area outside is very barren and desolate.
The trip with the tour provider was without any complaints and not a coffee trip.
Now we go to the Airbnb and take a shower.
Good nights for my friends
