After spending enough time in Marsaxklokk, we went to St. Peter's Pool nearby. The wind and weather have carved out the limestone rocks there, creating a natural pool where you can swim (in warm weather) comfortably. The weather wasn't very warm, but the sun was slowly coming out and we definitely wanted to check out St. Peter's Pool. You can park above the pool by the roadside and then walk a little distance down to the pool. And behold, there was even a bit of activity down there. Fortunately, not too much, so we could find a nice spot to relax. It was mostly calm down here, so it became pleasantly warm in the sun. We were able to sunbathe a little and listen to the waves crashing against the rocks. Wonderful! Unfortunately, it was too cold to swim, even though the beautiful color of the water was very inviting.
We then walked around the pool for a while and a little further around the corner. You could walk along the cliffs for quite a distance and admire the salt pans that appeared along the way. An interesting landscape! So if you're nearby and looking for a nice spot to relax and swim, St. Peter's Pool is really great :) However, it can get quite crowded during the peak season.
