After being happy about our peaceful sleeping spots, unfortunately, we had to move because the park closes at 9 pm. So we drove a little further and spent the night at the Sunset Cliffs. In the morning, we went to our first stop, which was closed yesterday, the Cabrillo National Monument. There we visited one of the first lighthouses on the west coast and a statue, as Cabrillo was the first European to set foot on the west coast of the USA. Further down the coast, there were tide pools, which are only visible at low tide. Unfortunately, we were there at the wrong time and didn't see much.
