Day 2: Dive behind the scenes in Bangkok

Публикувано: 13.11.2023

Day 2 was phenomenal!!!!

In the morning we took a boat trip through the small canals of Bangkok. Simply unbelievable, all the temples and repentant houses. We saw a monitor lizard and fed some fish. And believe it or not, I never once felt sick. Maybe it's the air here. I love it.

Afterwards we shopped and many bought long trousers for the temples. Of course I couldn't pass by the wonderful Fladderhosen either. Afterwards we went to the royal palace and an extremely famous temple. The dress code was really strict there, which is why I wore such a colorful mix of patterns because of course I didn't take any T-shirts with me.

Temple complexes were also really intense. All the buildings were so glittering and you always had to take your shoes off.

Our guide, sweet Jet, told us a lot about the history of Thailand and the kings.

It's possible that my brain has already deleted this information...

Then we arrived back in the city at 3 p.m. and Anna and I hopped into the pool from our hotel because it was TURBO HOT HERE.

The highlight of the day was the visit to China Town. I've never seen anything like that in my life. It was sooo incredible. The sidewalks are full of little stalls like you see in movies. I wouldn't have been surprised if you got food poisoning 17 times over. (By the way, I'm pretty sure that the guy in the picture with the crepes is spraying disinfectant on them to mitigate the consequences...)

Every second shop was also a cannabis shop. Of course I had to take a closer look at it. There were pre-rolled joints, what felt like 17g for €20, hash brownies, cannabis gummy bears. SIMPLY EVERYTHING WAS THERE.

I ate a 7-course menu in China Town because I had to try EVERYTHING that wasn't made of meat or fish. My highlight was fried brioche spread with butter and then chocolate in it😍😍😍. Here on vacation I also developed an insatiable hunger. I can only recommend Mango Sticky Rice to everyone. This is sweet rice with mango and coconut sauce. In my head, everything doesn't cost anything. Unfortunately, 30 times nothing still costs something...

But whatever😂

We then drove home in a tuk tuk that weighed 6 tons and actually fit a maximum of 4. With loud music and what felt like 70 km/h, we raced through the glowing city, screaming and laughing. It was just unbelievable.

By the way, Tuk Tuk is called Tuk Tuk because of the noise of the engine. Our driver then dropped us off at the rooftop bar. It was also good in other ways.

Dj, good cocktails and a Bomb VIEW. I've never seen anything so beautiful, simply breathtaking

Then we returned to the hotel late in the evening. On the way we happened to walk through the party area. That was extremely gross. Prostitutes were everywhere and wanted to drag us along. I only saw women (or men) and grass.

Nevertheless, I didn't feel uncomfortable at all, everyone is super nice here

In the evening I fell dead into bed, but it was a fantastic day!!!!
