We park in Arguedas and want to leave very early in the morning before the rush starts (the parking space is pretty crowded).
Despite the rain the day before, the dirt road is not a problem. The muddy ground dries up and cracks very decoratively.
The actual untouched part of the park is in the inner ring, but that is a military security area including a small airport.
The accessible part leads on a gravel ring road around this military area. The asphalt ends at the entrance of the military area. We drive the ring road clockwise, although the tourist brochure recommends the opposite.
The accessible part is interspersed with bizarre rock formations.
Partly as residual rocks (but eroded over the millennia), partly as "canyons" dug into the ground by small rivers.
The accessible part is also intensively used for agriculture, every level area is used for the cultivation of cereal crops, among others.
