Today we set off to Triglav National Park in normal summer temperatures.
Only about 70km away, but one briefly crosses paths with those heading home towards the Karawanken. 🥴
After that, you enter the picturesque landscape of Kransjka Gora and pass the highest drivable mountain pass in Slovenia: the Vršič Pass.
A paradise for serpentines fans, with an average steepness of 14%. A bit of the racing heart bled, but it was also an adventure in the car. By chance, a parking spot opened up and we set off, charmed by the spectacular surroundings.
Awesome mountain world and a magnificent view of the Prisojnik. After 2 hours in the mountains, we returned to the car and had to assert our territorial claims, as we were taken over by sheep.
To resolve the conflict, 'Allez, Allez' calls and a few pats on the wooly backs turned out to be successful.
After reclaiming our spot, we drove down the pass into the Soča valley and admired the picturesque river there.
Then the sky opened up again, and we returned over the pass to Bled, accompanied by a deluge and thunder.
What a ride!
We had lunch today at Megaburger. Not bad!
No plans for tomorrow yet.
Stay tuned
