So first off a small update on the plane: In the three seats in front of Nat and me was a Woman with two of her little children. They had a big inflatable ball with which they played. Eventually the ball flew to us and we started to play with the kids. Then they started to throw the ball through the entire plane. It ended up in the mom telling them they couldn't play with the ball anymore. Then the little boy grabbed an empty plastic cup and threw it also threw the plane. Needless to say we probably had the funniest flight ever!
Anyway the heat here is crazy. The maximum temperatures of my town in germany dont even match the minimum temperatures here at night. During the hot hours you practically cant be doing something in the sun, therefore there are people jogging, walking their dog and playing with their kids on the playgrounds at 00:30 in the night. Admittedly, they have holidays..
Barcelona is huge, crazy colorful and for a capital really easy going. The people dont seem to be in a rush as in other big cities and public transport is really cheap. Ive rented an electric scooter.
And its really much fun to drive around with that. Also a great way to discover the city on your own. I highly recommend that to everyone who has basic experience in traffic. The traffic itself is also more relaxed but as a consequence does that mean that you might not be able to keep going for a few minutes if the driver in front of you decides to stop and unload his trunk. Also traffic lights are more a recommendation then something mandatory.
