I then drove back to Christchurch from Akaroa via the Tourist Drive, unfortunately the weather wasn't great but it was okay for some hiking and taking photos.
Visited the Air Force and the regular museum, it was quite interesting and worth a visit. Had a currywurst at Café Berlin :)
On Friday, I sold my car and checked into the hostel (Jucy snooze) at the airport.
On Saturday, I highly recommend visiting the International Antarctic Center, very informative :) In the afternoon, relaxed in the hostel and planned the next leg of my journey.
On Sunday, I walked to the airport at 4am (10 minutes) and flew to Australia.
Entered Sydney without any issues. Took the train to the hostel, dropped off my backpack, and explored the city, visited the Opera House, walked across the Harbour Bridge, and took the train back. On Sundays, you can travel anywhere and as many times as you want for $2.70. Walked around the city center for a bit, but it was very crowded because it was Father's Day.
Today, on Monday, I took the train and bus to the Blue Mountains, but the weather didn't cooperate as it was very foggy.
